STEM in 2nd Class- parachutes, catapults, greenhouses and glasses.

We have been doing lots of STEM activities in 2nd Class. First we plan our project in pairs or groups and then we work together to build it. We test our creations together at the end. We really enjoy STEM, we love picking projects that interest us and predicting the results.

We made parachutes and tested which material made the best parachute, then we tested which size parachute worked best.

The best parachute

We built catapults and tested how far they could shoot a table tennis ball.

We built greenhouses and also made glasses as we were learning about light in our science classes.
